How UN SDGs Apply to Business

Organizations, as key players in society, have a crucial role in achieving the SDGs. Additionally, key business functions are reliant on the success of the systems the SDGs address such as clean water, energy, consumption & production, and economic growth. While they are focused on global efforts, the SDGs offer significant opportunities and benefits for organizational integration. Once an organization has identified which SDGs align with their core business activities and values they can integrate these goals into their strategy and operations. By actively participating in the SDGs, businesses can become drivers of positive change. 

SDG/GBB Alignment

The GBB initiative library holds a variety of initiatives that directly align with the SDGs, providing a clear roadmap and concrete steps for businesses to make real differences. GBB’s software guides organizations through tracking, measuring, and managing the progress of their sustainability efforts, which links precisely to their chosen SDGs.
