Do's and Don't for the GBB Certification

The Green Business Benchmark Certification recognizes sustainable organizations’ accomplishments. You can use your Certification to showcase your level (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum), and advertise your sustainability accomplishments.

Do:

• Say “Our organization has reached  (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) Certification with Green Business Benchmark.”
• Say “We are Certified  (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) with Green Business Benchmark.”
• Say “We are advancing our sustainability program with Green Business Benchmark.”

Do not:

• Say your product is certified.
  • Ex: Our product has been Green Business Benchmark certified.
• Make claims about environmental impact.
  • Ex: Our product has been certified by Green Business Benchmark as being good for your health and the planet.
• Say you are certified beyond your Certification level.
• Keep your badge up on your website or on your promotional materials after you have canceled your subscription.
  • You must remove your badge from your website and promotional materials as soon as you cancel your subscription. Your subscription will no longer be valid.
