Certification Overview

You’ve put in hard work to build your sustainability program and we give you credit for it with a certification. 

Every initiative that you mark as complete within the GBB software gives you points towards your certification. As you continue to complete initiatives, you work towards a certification level. 

Our certification levels are:

• Bronze - 5 pts
• Silver - 250 pts
• Gold - 500 pts
• Platinum - 750 pts

How long does it take to get certified?

How long certification takes will depend on how far you want to go. Your certification is a live process and dependent on your organization’s time and resources. We always recommend that you shoot for Platinum, and with over 3,000 total points available in the system, it should be no problem to get there with an intentional sustainability program. 

What is the certification vs badge?

Your certification level is live and automatically updates the badge available for download on your profile. The badge can be downloaded, placed on your website, and linked to your public profile, enabling people to see what you have accomplished initiative by initiative.

How is the certification level verified?

Your certification is dependent on a self-reporting system, so we trust you to be as authentic and transparent as possible when you mark initiatives as complete. However, we know that discrepancies still can occur. Per the terms and conditions agreed to as part of the sign-up process, all customers are subject to randomized audits. If we see something suspicious, we will reach out and set up an audit to double-check that everything is accurate.
